For housing that located in a small plot on the edge of a lake in a rural area of \u200b\u200bIowa, we design a house as a series of spatial structures that offer a private as opposed to the opposite shore is densely populated.
This second home is located in a resort area that looks like an oasis in the middle of "corn desert" of the Midwest.
The owners wanted a house that was "completely connected to the lake" and oaks that border the lake and spread beyond the fields.
The house is three-dimensional behavior as a set of "blinders" shadowing their neighbors, while that gradually opened to the lake and horizon.
Passing through the house, you can move from areas of density to areas with a transparent quality, the color mienras and texture of the materials is enhanced by moving from the open to close.
