The Roof House is cottage on the shores of Lake Nahuelhuapi, in southern Argentina, near Villa La Angostura . The land is a forest of 200 years inferred from the lake.
One of the problems was how to comply with local ordinance, according to the roofs had to have a minimum slope of 26 degrees, ensuring the entry of sun and have views of the forest and lake from the inside.
The program is solved in two plants, placing the family program on the main level and leaving the base for visits and services.
The roof issue is resolved after a series of small roofs that meet the standard, while allowing the entry of sunshine to any room and views are open to lake and woods and a double bay scheme that through a generous central circulation spread over a succession of patios to the sites that are located either on both sides.
The pool has been located in the far east to the main level so as to ensure its desolation and views.
In the area of \u200b\u200baccess is designed keeper's house (little roof) as a prototype of the main house constructive way to resolve issues in a model 1 / 1.
Materiality is concrete, wood and copper so as to integrate architecture with the context.
