In 1987, after the re-privatization of Cirque du Soleil, Laliberté was invited to perform in Los Angeles Arts Festival. However, the circus team continued to face financial difficulties, so Norman Latourelle he too decided to go to Los Angeles, even though I only had money for a trip. Joaquin is a young gay man of high society in Lima, so it is facing to the prejudices of their parents and the rejection of a homophobic society and supposedly very conservative, yet highly hypocritical. The film depicts a series of situations that happen to Joachim, from adolescence to adulthood.
